WE ARE DONE!

We have just finished our recordings for our second album! The last day turned out to be 11 hours long, but we managed to get everything together in time for the mixing.

We are all pleased with the new songs and how they turned out. Our producer, Janne ''More Dio, more Hetfield!'' Joutsenniemi seemed happy as well! (I could have been the beer and the shots, though...).

The next step for us is to name the songs and the album. We hate to let go of the working titles we grew to love and hate over the recordings, but what can you do. We also have to figure out the cover art, the booklet etc. Still a shitload of stuff to do, but the hard part is over.

Thanks to everyone who was involved in this album in any way! It turned out so much better than we had ever hoped.

See you!

Just a few more days...

...and the recordings will end! Thursday will be the last recording day for us. After that Janne will go through the songs and work his magic on them before he sends them over to be mixed and mastered.

Wensday will be an interesting day for us, for we will be having some help with the backing vocals in some songs. Our friends Aleksi Sihvonen (ex. Imperanon, Medicated) and Kasper Sirenius will be lending their angelic voices for us all to enjoy. Theres already like 32 tracks of Anttis voice on the album, and when we add these guys voices to the mix, you can be sure the vocal wall will be massive as hell. Can't wait till wensday :D

Only 3 days left. It's almost finished! Let's just hope that everything goes well, and nothing bad happens. These things have a nasty habit of getting really hectic at the last minutes.

Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Nearly there

Howza!

After long hours of copying, pasting and autotune abusal, Antti is done with the clean vocals!
All that's left to do now are the growls, some lead guitars, the solos and the keyboards. Time surely flies when you get to do something with your time.

We have had a lot of interesting moments with our studio equipment. The computer we are using has been having this nasty habit of being an unreliable peace of shit. Sometimes it gives out no sound, and sometimes it does. Sometimes it goes into a tilt, and sometimes it's just working really, REALLY slow. The only thing we have been able to do has been rebooting the damn thing over and over again. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, we reboot it again and hope for the best.

But with the help of sisu and outrageous swearing we are making good progress! Almost there! Won't be long now, folks!

Till next time

A day off

We took a day off today from the recordings, because both Janne and Antti are sick as hell.
We really don't want vomit and diarrhea all over the equipment :D Janne was under the weather yesterday, and Antti has to stay at home, because he can't leave the toilet for more than 30 minutes at tops.

But now onto less disgusting and more important matters...

As said before, the drums, the rythm guitars and the bass tracks are all done. Antti has managed to finish a couple of songs and Tuomas and Jeremy are working on the lead guitars. The album is starting to take it's shape, and we are getting more and more exited as time goes by. Can't wait to hear the final product!

We hope that both Janne and Antti are feeling better tomorrrow, because we still have a shitload of work to do.

Till next time, folks!

We are making progress!!!

Things are rollin' alright since Pekko finished the basstracks for the last song a few hours a go. All in all the session went very smoothly and about 24 hours of total working time was wasted on 'em low frequencies. Theres not much to party about because there is no money and the weather is shit cold. But the bass was pretty good!!! At least Tuomas is satisfied!!

Right at this very moment Antti started working in the singing booth, but it didn't last long before the first radical grammar bug had to be changed. But because Antti is bad guy he doesn't give a shit and is doing a fine job with the vocal melodies!! The clean vocals are recorded first, then the harmonies and then the growls. If there will be any of them on the album??

Oh yeah and doctor Vili is about to start the keyboard recordings with the whale in his own personal home ultrastudio. Because Vili is a top quality keyboard man, his job shouldn't take more than somewhere between six and seven hours. And on top of that, tomorrow Tuomas will start to tape in the leads and figuring out he's guitar leads!!
Looks like the record casette will be ready in no time!!

GUITARS ARE DONE!!

Well, at least the rhytmhm tracks are now all in the hard drive. Tuomas used two amps, a Bogner Überschall and a Krank revolution, two tracks each so together we got four rhythm guitar tracks.
All the riffs are playd tight of course and the geetar wall is MASSIVE!!!

Today the recordings of the bass started, with massive problems of course. What else can you expect from a 4-string wielding asshole? After a few hours of searching the pieces started to fall into place and the first song was recorded. However, briefly after this Janne had to leave to go to see a doctor cause the masquerade (during the drum recordings) he took part in left some serious internal injuries in hes body that must be cured.

Tomorrow it's serious business and we start to bang smash and slam the bass tracks in for real.
And yeah we are also going to play a gig in Tavastia to warm up the weekends Finnish Metal Meeting Festival.

Let's see what happens!!

P.S We are also very grateful that last weekend we got to play the now legendary/infamous Frostbite metalfest, in it's all absurdness the event kikced ass! HAHA
Thank you mr. Caribbea Man!! Pinã Colada, RUM AND COKE, Scuba Dive and Pinã COLADA!!!

A brief info

What's up, everyone?

We started recording the rhythm guitars tuesday. Tuomas and Janne ended up spending almost the entire day playing around with different amps, trying to find the best sound.
Despite all that nonsense, Tuomas has been performing great. Fueled by smokes and energydrinks, he is now about halfway finished with the guitars! After he's done, Pekko will man the studio with his brand new Spector!

We will be taking a small break from recordings this weekend, because we have a gig in Lahti this friday. We'll be playing alongside with bands like Amoral, Arch Enemy, Dead Shape Figure and Lamb Of God. Gonna be a blast!

That's all for now, folks!
Stay tuned!
